۞ And We inspired Musa (Moses), saying: "Take away My slaves by night, verily, you will be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to (all) the Cities, 53 (Who said): Lo! these indeed are but a little troop, 54 They are always harassing us. 55 And verily we are host well-provided. 56 So, We expelled them from gardens and springs, 57 And from treasures and nice houses. 58 Thus (were those things taken from them) and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 When the two forces drew within seeing distance of each other, the people of Moses said: "We shall certainly be overtaken." 61 Moses said: "Certainly not. My Lord is with me; He will direct me." 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 And We made the other party approach thither. 64 We delivered Moses and every one with him, 65 But We drowned the others. 66 In this [story] behold, there is a message [unto all men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 67 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 68
