Say: I am only a warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer (of all): 65 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Almighty, the All-Forgiving!" 66 Say: "This is a message tremendous: 67 “You are neglectful of it!” 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted assembly [of angels] when they were disputing [the creation of Adam]. 69 had it not been revealed unto me [by God] - to no other end than that I might convey [unto you] a plain warning. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: “Verily I am creating a human being from clay. 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down before him in prostration!" 72 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 73 except Iblis who puffed himself up with pride and became a disbeliever. 74 He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones? 75 (Iblis) said: "I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay." 76 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 till the Day whose Hour I know.” 81 Said he, 'Now, by Thy glory, I shall pervert them all together, 82 except for those among them who are Your chosen servants." 83 He said: The Truth is, and the Truth I speak, 84 I will certainly fill the Gehenna with you and with all those among them who follow you.” 85 Say thou: I ask of you for it no hire, nor am I of the affecters. 86 "This is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds. 87 and you will most certainly grasp its purport after a lapse of time!" 88
