Al-Zukhruf 4 of 7

And whoever is averse to the Remembrance of the Most Gracious, We appoint a devil upon him, who stays with him. 36 Devils divert men from the [right] way, while they think that they are rightly guided. 37 When such a person comes to Us, he will say [to his comrade], "If only you had been as far away from me as east is from west. What an evil comrade!" 38 It will be said [to such a person], "You have done wrong. Having partners in punishment will be of no avail to you today." 39 What! can you then make the deaf to hear or guide the blind and him who is in clear error? 40 And whether [or not] We take you away [in death], indeed, We will take retribution upon them. 41 or We shall show you what We have promised them; for surely We have complete power over them. 42 Therefore, hold fast to that which is revealed to you, indeed, you are on the Straight Path. 43 The Quran is a reminder to you and to your people and you will soon be questioned about it. 44 And ask thou Our apostles whom We sent before thee: appointed We gods, beside the Compassionate, to be worshipped? 45
