and We saved the Children of Israel from a humiliating punishment 30 Inflicted by Pharaoh, for he was arrogant (even) among inordinate transgressors. 31 And We chose them (the Children of Israel) above the 'Alamin (mankind, and jinns) [during the time of Musa (Moses)] with knowledge, 32 and sent them revelations of which some were a clear trial for them. 33 [Now,] behold, these [people] say indeed: 34 "After we die, we shall never be raised to life again. 35 Bring back to us our fathers if you are truthful.” 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba, and those who had lived before them, whom We destroyed as they were sinners? 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - 40 The day on which, no friends will benefit each other at all, nor will they be helped. (Except those who are pious – see verse 43:67) 41 Except him on whom Allah has Mercy. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 42
