Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Koran! 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a marvellous thing! 2 What! when we are dead and have become dust? That is afar (from probable) return. 3 We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). 4 They gave the lie to the Truth when it came to them. So they are now in a state of great perplexity. 5 Did they never observe the sky above them: how We built it and beautified it; and it has no cracks; 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 We sent down blessed water from the sky with which We caused gardens and the grains of harvest to grow, 9 and tall palm-trees with clusters of dates 10 As sustenance for the bondmen; and with it We revived a dead city; this is how you will be raised. 11 Before them, the nation of Noah, the nation of ArRass belied and so did Thamood 12 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot), 13 And the dwellers of the grove and the people of Tuba; all rejected the apostles, so My threat came to pass. 14 Were We then tired with the first creation? Nay, They are in confused doubt about a new creation (i.e. Resurrection)? 15
