Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 and the smooth runners 3 Then by oath of those which distribute by the command. 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
