The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
O, you, wrapped in your cloak, 1 Arise, and warn, 2 Thy Lord magnify 3 And thine inner self purify! 4 And banish all trepidation. 5 Nor expect, in giving, any increase (for thyself)! 6 And for the good-will of thy Lord be thou patient. 7 When the Horn is blown, 8 That shall be - that Day - a day hard. 9 not an easy day for the unbelievers. 10 Leave Me (to deal) with him whom I created lonely, 11 and to whom I have granted resources vast, 12 And sons abiding in his presence 13 And spread [everything] before him, easing [his life]. 14 yet he is eager that I increase him. 15 By no means! He has been stubbornly hostile to Our revelation: 16 and I shall constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 For lo! he did consider; then he planned - 18 And woe to him! How he plotted!- 19 And once more let him be cursed, how he plotted! 20 May he be condemned again for his schemes! He looked around, 21 And frowned and puckered his brow, 22 and he turned his back and behaved arrogantly 23 said, "This (the Quran) is nothing but magic, inherited from ancient magicians. 24 This is naught but the word of a mortal. 25 I will cast him into hell. 26 And what can make you know what is Saqar? 27 It leaves and spares no one and nothing. 28 scorching the flesh; 29 over it are nineteen. 30 For We have caused none but angelic powers to lord over the fire [of hell]; and We have not caused their number to be aught but a trial for those who are bent on denying the truth - to the end that they who have been granted revelation aforetime might be convinced [of the truth of this divine writ]; and that they who have attained to faith [in it] might grow yet more firm in their faith; and that [both] they who have been granted the earlier revelation and they who believe [in this one] might be freed of all doubt; and that they in whose hearts is disease and they who deny the truth outright might ask, "What does [your] God mean by this parable?" In this way God lets go astray him that wills [to go astray,] and guides aright him that wills [to be guided]. And none can comprehend thy Sustainers forces save Him alone: and all this is but a reminder to mortal man. 31

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
