Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
