Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger). 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return! 3 We know all that the earth takes away of them, and a Book of Records is with Us. 4 They gave the lie to the Truth when it came to them. So they are now in a state of great perplexity. 5 Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps? 6 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and We made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 And We sent down out of heaven water blessed, and caused to grow thereby gardens and grain of harvest 9 and tall palm-trees with clusters of dates 10 A provision for (Allah's) slaves. And We give life therewith to a dead land. Thus will be the resurrection (of the dead). 11 The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, 12 and Ad and Pharaoh, the brothers of Lot, 13 The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them). 14 Did We, then, become worn out by the first creation? Not at all; but they are in doubt about a fresh creation. 15
