And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 Moreover, there are two scribes, one each sitting on the right and the left, recording everything. 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!" 19 And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day. 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 'Thou wast heedless of this; therefore We have now removed from thee thy covering, and so thy sight today is piercing.' 22 His companion attendant will say, "I have here his record ready." 23 Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 hinderer of good, transgressor, causing others to doubt, 25 who has set up another deity beside God: cast him, then, cast him into suffering severe!" 26 ۞ and his associate [Satan] will say, "Lord, I did not make him transgress, he had already gone far astray himself." 27 He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning. 28 The Sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed, and I am not unjust (to the least) to the slaves." 29
