The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 by those that swim serenely 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
