Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 where then are you going? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
