The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 except with their spouses and slave-girls. The practice of carnal relations is lawful with them. 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 those who are faithful to their trusts and promises; 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 They are the inheritors. 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 And then you will certainly die, 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
