Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
