Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they belied him, so they will be among the arraigned (in Hell), 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
