And a sign for them is the dead land. We gave it life, and We brought forth from it grains, so that they eat thereof. 33 And We place therein gardens of the date-palms and vines; and We therein cause to gush forth springs. 34 That they may eat of His fruit. And their hands have not produced it, so will they not be grateful? 35 Holy is He who created all things in pairs; of what the earth grows, and of themselves, and other things which they do not know. 36 And there is a sign in the night for them. We strip off the day from it and they are left in darkness, 37 And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. 38 We have determined the stations of the moon, so that (after its wanderings) it returns as a dried up inflorescent spike of dates. 39 how the sun is not supposed to catch-up with the moon, nor is the night to precede the day. All of them are to float in a certain orbit; 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship. 41 and We have created for them the like of it whereon they ride; 42 We could have drowned them if We pleased, and none would have answered their cry for help, nor would they have been saved, 43 It is only Our Mercy (that rescues them) and enables enjoyment of life for a while. 44 And when it is said to them: Guard against what is before you and what is behind you, that mercy may be had on you. 45 Indeed, not one of your Lord's signs comes to them without their turning away from it, 46 And when it is said to them: Spend out of what Allah has given you, those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Shall we feed him whom, if Allah please, He could feed? You are in naught but clear error. 47 And they add, "When is this promise [of resurrection] to be fulfilled? [Answer this] if you are men of truth!" 48 They await only but a single Saihah (shout, etc.), which will seize them while they are disputing! 49 And they will not be able to make a disposition, nor to their family they return. 50
