Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
