The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
