With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of pace. 47 And the earth have We laid out, how gracious is the Spreader (thereof)! 48 And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction. 49 Flee, therefore, to Allah. Surely I am a clear warner to you from Him; 50 And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! 51 Likewise, there came no messenger to those before them, but they said, "He is a sorcerer or a madman." 52 Is this the legacy they have transmitted, one to another? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds! 53 So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed. 54 And continue to remind, for surely the reminder profits the believers. 55 We have created jinn and human beings only that they might worship Me. 56 I seek no sustenance from them, nor do I want them to feed Me -- 57 for, verily, God Himself is the Provider of all sustenance, the Lord of all might, the Eternal! 58 For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)! 59 For, woe unto those who are bent on denying the truth - [woe] on the Day which they have been promised 60
