Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 Till an appointed term, 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
