Have you seen the one who turned away 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
