(Muhammad), recall Our servant Job. When he prayed to his Lord saying, "Satan has afflicted me with hardship and torment," 41 We said to him, “Strike the earth with your foot; this cool spring is for bathing and drinking.” (A spring gushed forth when he struck the earth – this was a miracle.) 42 We gave him back his family and doubled their number as a blessing from Us and as a reminder to the people of understanding. 43 [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 44 (Muhammad), recall Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, all of whom possessed virtuous hands and clear visions. 45 We chose them for a special [purpose] -- proclaiming the message of the Hereafter: 46 Indeed with Us they are among the chosen, the excellent. 47 And commemorate Isma'il, Elisha, and Zul-Kifl: Each of them was of the Company of the Good. 48 This is an advice; and indeed for the pious is an excellent abode. 49 The gardens of perpetuity, the doors are opened for them. 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for plenteous fruit and drink. 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 Such is the Promise made, to you for the Day of Account! 53 Verily this is Our provision: there will be no ceasing thereof. 54 This (shall be so); and most surely there is an evil resort for the inordinate ones; 55 Hell; they shall enter it, so evil is the resting-place. 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 And other (torment) of the kind in pairs (the two extremes)! 58 This is a crowd rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; verily they are to roast in the Fire. 59 They say: Nay, but you (misleaders), for you there is no word of welcome. Ye prepared this for us (by your misleading). Now hapless is the plight. 60 They shall say: Our Lord! whoever prepared it first for us, add Thou to him a double chastisement in the fire. 61 And will add: "O what has happened to us that we do not see the men we counted among the wicked. 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or is it that [they are here, and] our eyes have missed them?" 63 Verily, that is the very truth, the mutual dispute of the people of the Fire! 64
