▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by Mawaqi (setting or the mansions, etc.) of the stars (they traverse). 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem? 81 and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 the while you are [helplessly] looking on 84 We are closer to him than you, but you cannot see. 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 it will be with the people of the right hand, living in peace and security. 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 This is the absolute Truth and certainty. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
