Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the midmorning, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
