The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Created man from a clot. 2 Read, for your Lord is most beneficent, 3 who, by the pen, taught the human being: 4 Taught man what he did not know. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 Verily unto thy Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 A servant when he prays? 10 What thinkest thou? If he were upon guidance 11 or enjoins true piety? 12 Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 by the lying forelock steeped in sin. 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with him)! 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
