In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Read! In the name of your Lord, who created: 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 Taught man what he did not know. 5 No! [But] indeed, man transgresses 6 that he sees himself sufficed. 7 Surely to your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 A votary when he turns to his devotions? 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 or enjoins true piety? 12 What do you think? Have you seen if he belies and turns away, 13 Is he then unaware that Allah seeth? 14 Nay! If he (Abu Jahl) ceases not, We will catch him by the forelock, 15 By the lying, the sinful forelock. 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah). ۩ 19
