Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
