The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 The fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 In outstretched columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
