Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 till you reached the grave. 2 You shall know. 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

Almighty Allah's Truth.
