The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 Has created Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as the soul of mankind. 3 and He taught him speech. 4 The sun and the moon are made punctual. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 There are fruits of all kinds on it, and date-palms with their clusters sheathed, 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 He is the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests. 17 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 but has created a barrier between them so that they will not merge totally. 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 From them come forth the pearl and the coral. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 And His are the lofty ships that sail like [floating] mountains through the seas. 24 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 25
