Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Blessed be He in whose hand is the Kingdom -- He is powerful over everything -- 1 who created death and life, that He might try you which of you is fairest in works; and He is the All-mighty, the All-forgiving -- 2 Who created the seven heavens one above another; you see no incongruity in the creation of the Beneficent Allah; then look again, can you see any disorder? 3 Then lift your gaze again, your gaze will return towards you, unsuccessful and weak. 4 And we have, (from of old), adorned the lowest heaven with Lamps, and We have made such (Lamps) (as) missiles to drive away the Evil Ones, and have prepared for them the Penalty of the Blazing Fire. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord (Allah) is the torment of Hell, and worst indeed is that destination. 6 They will hear it hissing when they will be thrown into it, and it is boiling. 7 nearly bursting apart out of rage. Every time a host is cast therein, its keepers will ask them: 'Did no one come to warn you' 8 They will say: "Yes indeed; a Warner did come to us, but we rejected him and said, 'Allah never sent down any (Message): ye are nothing but an egregious delusion!'" 9 They will say, "If we had only listened or understood, we should not now be among the inmates of Hell," 10 And they will admit their sin, so [it is] alienation for the companions of the Blaze. 11 Verily those who dread their Lord unseen, theirs shall be forgiveness and a great hire. 12 Whether you say a thing secretly or openly, He knows the innermost secrets of your hearts. 13 Should He not know,- He that created? and He is the One that understands the finest mysteries (and) is well-acquainted (with them). 14
