By the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 A warning to mortals, 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 who will be in Paradise 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As they were frightened asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
