Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). 2 Nay! you shall soon know, 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
