Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
