Believers, help yourselves (in your affairs) through patience and prayer; God is with those who have patience. 153 Do not say that those killed in the Way of Allah are dead, they are alive, although you are unaware. 154 Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere, 155 Who say, when a misfortune striketh them: Lo! we are Allah's and lo! unto Him we are returning. 156 Their Lord will bestow great blessings and mercy upon them; such are the people who are rightly guided. 157 ۞ Indeed, as-Safa and al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allah. So whoever makes Hajj to the House or performs 'umrah - there is no blame upon him for walking between them. And whoever volunteers good - then indeed, Allah is appreciative and Knowing. 158 Surely those who conceal the clear proofs and the guidance that We revealed after We made it clear in the Book for men, these it is whom Allah shall curse, and those who curse shall curse them (too). 159 But from those who repent and mend their ways and make known the truth, I will certainly accept their repentance: I am the Ever Relenting, the Most Merciful. 160 Indeed, those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers - upon them will be the curse of Allah and of the angels and the people, all together, 161 They will remain in it forever; neither will the punishment be lightened for them, nor will they be given respite. 162 Your God is one God; there is no god other than He, the compassionate, ever-merciful. 163
