Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 it is a warning to man, 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 Except those on the right side. 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 about the sinners. 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
