So what is [the matter] with those who disbelieve, hastening [from] before you, [O Muhammad], 36 [coming upon thee] from the right and from the left, in crowds? 37 Does every man of them desire that he should be made to enter the garden of bliss? 38 No, that is not like that! Verily, We have created them out of that which they know! 39 I swear by the Lord of the easts and the wests, that, verily We are Able. 40 to replace them by others who would be better than they; and We shall certainly not be overpowered. 41 So leave them alone to plunge and play, until they encounter the Day which they are promised; 42 The day when they will come out of their graves in all haste as though rushing to their altars, 43 Eyes lowered, shame attending. That is the day they have been promised! 44
