Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
