And when the messengers came unto the family of Lot, 61 He said: "Verily! You are people unknown to me." 62 "We have come to you with news," they said, "of what your people doubt; 63 and we are bringing thee the certainty [of its fulfilment]: for, behold, we are speaking the truth indeed. 64 So set forth, thou with thy family, in a watch of the night, and follow after the backs of them, and let not any one of you turn round; and depart unto the place you are commanded.' 65 We communicated to him Our decree that the guilty ones would be destroyed by the morning. 66 In the meantime the people of the city came to Lot rejoicing. 67 rushed towards the house of Lot. Lot said to them, "These are my guests. Do not disgrace me. 68 "But fear Allah, and shame me not." 69 They said; Have we not forbidden you from (entertaining) anyone? 70 Lot said, "These are my daughters if you want them." 71 By your life! they were blindly wandering on in their intoxication. 72 Therefore the scream overcame them at sunrise. 73 And We turned the township upside down and rained upon them stones of heated clay. 74 Surely, in that there are signs for those who contemplate. 75 The place (where this occurred) lies along a known route. 76 Verily in that is a sign for the believers. 77 The dwellers of the Thicket were harmdoers. 78 So We punished them too. They are both situated by the highway, clearly visible. 79

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
