The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
