And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 which the truthful spirit has carried down 193 Upon your heart (O Muhammad SAW) that you may be (one) of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And lo! it is in the Scriptures of the men of old. 196 And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? 197 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners 198 And he had recited it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter into the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 It shall come unto them on a sudden, and they shall not perceive. 202 Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 And withal, never have We destroyed any community unless it had been warned 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), warn your closest relatives. 214 And lower thou thy wing unto those who follow thee as believers. 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who sees you when you arise 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 [And] shall I tell you upon whom it is that those evil spirits descend? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 preaching what they do not practice. 226 Not so the true believers who do good works and remember God with fervour and defend themselves only after they are wronged. The wrongdoers will soon know how evil a turn their affairs will take. 227
