We have sent no Prophet to any city but that We seized its people with misery and hardship, that haply they might be humble; 94 We then replaced their misfortune with well-being until they were relieved and began saying, "Our fathers had also experienced good and bad days." Suddenly, We struck them (with torment) while they were all unaware (of what was happening). 95 And if the people of the towns had believed and guarded (against evil) We would certainly have opened up for them blessings from the heaven and the earth, but they rejected, so We overtook them for what they had earned. 96 Do the people of those towns feel secure that Our punishment will not come to them at night while they are asleep? 97 or that which could seize them during their busy hours of the day? 98 Did they then feel secure against the Plan of Allah. None feels secure from the Plan of Allah except the people who are the losers. 99
