(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 And ease my task for me; 26 and my tongue fluent 27 so that they may understand my speech, 28 And appoint for me a minister from my household. 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen by him my back. 31 and let him share my task, 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 Surely You know us well." 35 He said: You are indeed granted your petition, O Musa 36 We had already shown you favor 37 when We inspired thy mother with this inspiration: 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 And I formed thee for Myself. 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 and speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." 44 They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 [But when God's message was conveyed unto Pharaoh,] he said: "Who, now, is this Sustainer of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 Consume them as food or for grazing your cattle. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of reason". 54
