We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
