The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 Verily your God is One. 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 Then ask them (i.e. these polytheists, O Muhammad SAW): "Are they stronger as creation, or those (others like the heavens and the earth and the mountains, etc.) whom We have created?" Verily, We created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mock 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 And our fathers too?" 17 Say, "You will certainly be brought back to life in disgrace". 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21
