The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And the close of night, 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 where then are you going? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
