Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 "My Lord! Then (save me from Your Punishment), and put me not amongst the people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing)." 94 Surely We are able to show you what We warn them against. 95 [But whatever they may say or do,] repel the evil [which they commit] with something that is better: We are fully aware of what they attribute [to Us]. 96 Say: "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the evil promptings of the devils. 97 O my Lord, I seek refuge in You lest they attend me' 98 (In Falsehood will they be) Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: "O my Lord! send me back (to life),- 99 Haply I may do good in that which I have left. By no means! it is a (mere) word that he speaks; and before them is a barrier until the day they are raised. 100 Then, when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask of one another. 101 Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: 102 And those whose scales (of good deeds) are light, they are those who lose their ownselves, in Hell will they abide. 103 The fire burneth their faces, and they are glum therein. 104 “Were not My verses recited to you, so you used to deny them?” 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people. 106 “Our Lord, remove us from hell then if we do the same, we are the unjust.” 107 'Slink you into it,' He shall say, 'and do not speak to Me. 108 "A part of My servants there was, who used to pray 'our Lord! we believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 109 But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them. 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this day forasmuch as they were steadfast in that they, even they, are the triumphant. 111 Then Allah will ask them: "For how many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will answer: "We have spent there a day, or part of a day; but ask those who [are able to] count [time]" 113 He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,- if ye had only known! 114 Did you think that We had created you for a playful purpose and that you were not to return to Us?" 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 He, who invokes another deity along with God, a deity of whose divinity he has no proof, will be brought to account by his Lord. Certainly, those who deny the truth shall never prosper. 117 Say, "Lord, forgive us and have mercy. You are the best of those who show mercy." 118
True are the words of God the Almighty.
