And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - 10 and ask them, "Why do you not fear God?" 11 He said, “My Lord, I fear that they will deny me.” 12 My breast is constricted and my tongue is not fluent, so endow Messengership on Aaron. 13 besides, they accuse me of a crime, and I fear that they may put me to death." 14 The Lord said, "Have no fear, both of you go with Our miracles. We shall closely listen to you." 15 Go to Pharaoh, both of you, and say, 'We are messengers from the Lord of the Worlds: 16 so send forth with us the Children of Israel." 17 [But when Moses had delivered his message, Pharaoh] said: "Did we not bring thee up among us when thou wert a child? And didst thou not spend among us years of thy [later] life? 18 “And you committed the deed of yours that you committed, and you were ungrateful.” 19 Moses replied: "I committed that act erringly. 20 So I fled from you when I feared you, then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me of the apostles; 21 "And this is the favour with which thou dost reproach me,- that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 Said Firaun, “And what is the Lord Of The Creation? 23 He said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between, if ye seek to be convinced. 24 (Pharaoh) said unto those around him: Hear ye not? 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 26 (Pharaoh) said: Lo! your messenger who hath been sent unto you is indeed a madman! 27 Moses continued, "He is the Lord of the East and West and all that is between them, if only you would think". 28 [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned." 29 and Moses asked, "Even if I show you a clear sign?" 30 [Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful." 31 So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew out his hand, and it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
