Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Alif Lam Mim 1 These are the verses of the Book of wisdom, 2 A guidance and a mercy for the well-doers: 3 Those who establish the prayer and give the poor-rate and of the Hereafter are convinced. 4 These are on guidance from their Lord, and these! they are the blissful ones. 5 There are some people who would purchase distracting talk, to lead astray from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and take it in mockery; for those is a humiliating punishment. 6 And when Our communications are recited to him, he turns back proudly, as if he had not heard them, as though in his ears were a heaviness, therefore announce to him a painful chastisement. 7 Surely those who believe and do good deeds shall have Gardens of Bliss. 8 To abide therein. It is a Promise of Allah in truth. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars as you see them, and put mountains upon the earth lest it might convulse with you, and He spread in it animals of every kind; and We sent down water from the cloud, then caused to grow therein (vegetation) of every noble kind. 10 Such is God's creation. Show me now what those (they worship) beside Him have created. Surely the evil-doers are in clear error. 11
