Say, "[God says] O My servants who have believed, fear your Lord. For those who do good in this world will have a good reward -- and God's earth is spacious. Truly, those who persevere patiently will be requited without measure." 10 Say: I am commanded that I should serve Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience. 11 And I am commanded to be the first of those who are muslims (surrender unto Him). 12 Say: I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the chastisement of a grievous day. 13 Say: Allah I worship, making my religion pure for Him (only). 14 "Serve ye what ye will besides him." Say: "Truly, those in loss are those who lose their own souls and their People on the Day of Judgment: Ah! that is indeed the (real and) evident Loss! 15 Clouds of fire will they have above them, and [similar] clouds beneath them…" In this way does God imbue His servants with fear. O you servants of Mine! Be, then, conscious of Me 16 And those who avoid the devils lest they should worship them and turn unto Allah in penitence, for them are glad tidings. Wherefore give thou glad tidings unto My bondmen, 17 who listen to the Words and follow what is finest of it. These are they whom Allah has guided. They are those of understanding. 18 Is, then, one against whom the decree of Punishment is justly due (equal to one who eschews Evil)? Wouldst thou, then, deliver one (who is) in the Fire? 19 Those who have fear of their Lord will have lofty mansions built upon mansions beneath which streams flow. It is the promise of God. God does not disregard His promise. 20 Have you not seen that God sends down water from the sky, guides it to form springs in the earth, and then, with it, brings forth vegetation of various colours, which later withers, turns yellow before your eyes, and then He makes it crumble away? There is truly a reminder in this for those who possess understanding. 21
